Dr. Evelyn Coln
Madison, Athens
Dr. Evelyn Coln attended Birmingham-Southern College, where she earned a degree in biology and physiology. During her college years, she was actively involved in the dance team and later became a cheerleader. It was during this time that she met her husband, Bo Coln, who was a basketball player. After completing her undergraduate studies, Dr. Coln pursued a master's degree in public health with a focus on Epidemiology at UAB. Subsequently, she continued her education at UAB by attending dental school there. As a child, she had a fear of dentists, but finding a dentist who helped alleviate those fears inspired her to pursue a career where she could assist others in overcoming their dental anxieties.
Faith holds a central place in Dr. Coln's life, and she is an active member of the Church of the Highlands. Faith guides how she interacts with others and is her source of strength. Dr. Coln is a proud parent of four children, aged 17, 15, 13, and 9, all of whom are homeschooled. Their family includes two dogs, Jacques (a Portuguese water dog) and Gryffendor (a Havanese). Jacques previously served as a therapy dog at Dr. Coln's former practice. Additionally, they have two cats, Nugget and Hufflepuff. Outside of work Dr. Coln has a deep love for the outdoors and enjoys both camping and hiking. |
